PRESS is committed to sourcing the freshest and most local produce possible. Our dedication to this philosophy comes to life with our relationship with Rudd Farms, a stunning 13-acre organic property on beautiful Mount Veeder. Nestled high above Napa Valley in the Mayacamas Mountains, Rudd Farms exists solely to provide for PRESS and Oakville Grocery. Set amidst prized Napa Valley vineyards and offering spectacular views, the farm is home to over 100 fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, olive groves, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, turkeys and bees

Our chef works closely with the farm to select plantings on a seasonal basis. Careful consideration is taken to choose particular varieties of a specific crop keeping hardiness, yield and disease resistance in mind. At the end of the day it’s all about taste. This means we grow primarily heirloom, open pollinated crops. These are old genetic lines that were grown for their flavor not for their ability to be stored and shipped cross country. Rudd Farms’ annual harvest includes a variety of apples, pears, kale, lemons, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, beets, figs, and more, as well as eggs, olive oil and honey.
