Michaela Kelly

Assistant General Manager

Michaela comes to PRESS by way of Chicago where she fell in love with wine while bartending at Roister. After deciding to pursue her wine education, she transitioned to the Sommelier team at Alinea, where she worked up until July 2020. Her long-term goal was always to move to the Napa Valley, and an opportunity to do a harvest internship at Schramsberg accelerated her plans. Michaela joined the PRESS Sommelier team last year part-time, while also joining the education team at the The Napa Valley Reserve as an educator until March 2021. Now she is officially our Assistant General Manager.

Kelly purposefully moved to PRESS first for its wine list. Working at a restaurant that has the largest Napa Valley wine list in the nation, she expects to receive the best education for local wines and producers that were never available in Chicago. She explains, “Chef Tessier’s vision for the restaurant, in creating a balance between the food and wine presented here, is something that is familiar and exciting, and a vision I can proudly stand behind.”
